Hi,

Running a new XP home and wanting to keep it, I was faced with no options to take ownership of files under NTFS.

However there is a good solution for this matter, read the tutorial below:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4581

Maybe the same concept can be applied for boot disk under PE?

I can probably test it under LiveXP if someone can convert what is said into somekind of script that will work for LiveXP.

It has an .inf file that should contain the relevant details to add this support.

This method is working very, well. After installing I was able to take ownership of some files that had been copied by Ubuntu and had permissions mismatch.

There is no need to add this.

Take ownership is possible at lot of PE using XP home files.

ProductSuite Personal defines XP Home.
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ProductOptions]
ProductSuite=Personal

ProductSuite is empty under a lot of PE.
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ProductOptions]
ProductSuite=

Hence a XP Home PE claims itself a XP Pro version.
