Parted Magic 3.1 External links Options

in old version of script the script was structured like this:
WinBuilder_0.74\Projects\VistaPE\OtherOS\Parted Magic Linux\ and here were present (initrd.pml, kernel.pml, PartedMagic.script, pmagic.fs)

I downloaded the new ver from here http://partedmagic.com/beef_drapes/ I renamed the file to pmagic-grub4dos.isoand none contain an iso with those file :-((

any help?

Updated to gparted-0.3.8-svn for hfs+ support.
* Added G4L. This is probably incomplete and needs testing.

* VirtualPC/VirtualBox/VMWare/qemu should work now if you pick
the second option in the isolinux menu.

* Added cmdline option to specify tmpfs size. The default is
180M. This gives the option of not using the default 50% of
RAM and leaving more for applications. Parted Magic fully
decompressed is about 160MB. If you add a bunch of pmodules
or your own programs you might want to change this.
* Updated to udev-127.
* Updated to testdisk/photorec-6.11-WIP.
* Updated to lftp-3.7.4.
* Updated to ntfs-3g-1.2812.
* Updated to linux-2.6.27-rc4.
* Added cryptsetup.
* Switched to LXDE and removed XFCE. (still rough, needs work)
* Updated to fuse-2.7.4. Fixes sshfs bug.
* Updated to busybox-1.12.0.
* Updated to file-4.26.
* Made a GUI for udpcast. (please test)
* Updated to conky-1.6.1.
* Updated to e2fsprogs-1.41.1.

(or whatever is current, but use the grub4dos version)

did not test but should work...

the svn.iso file I downlaoded and renamed to pmagic-grub4dos.iso
Where I have to put this file? I added the script for ver 3.x that you provided into Other OS folder, and disabled the older plugin
..
looking inside the script is reported something like a %Tmpfolder% but can you point me exactly to it? thanks best regards

hmm, i meant replace the download url in the script, then the script will do the download and unpack for you...

but if you have the iso (unpack the ZIP!)

put it in %TmpFolder%=%basedir%\Temp\%ProjectName%\PartedMagic3

(it is a few lines above the iso name in the script...)

what vistape do you have? for me (vpe12b3) it is vistape-core\partedmagic3

I am using WinBuilder 0.75 b4 g and VistaPe11multiboot Project.

hmm, you need a current grub4dos for this i would say at least 4.3 or better 4.4 beta...check if the old vistape has this, and if not you need to get an update...the script was made for vistape12b3

I added the grub 4.4 and tested this menu, exporting PMAGIC directory under Boot dir,
but it doesn't boot at all.
