Hi, Olof.

Just to let you (and IMDISK users) know that, at least in Italian Win2K, this won't work:
CODE
imdisk -a -f test.img -s 33828352 -m J: -p "/FS:FAT /q /y"

The /Y parameter is not accepted.

The workaround of feeding a confirmation with ECHO to it works though:
CODE
ECHO S|imdisk -a -f test.img -s 33828352 -m J: -p "/FS:FAT /q"

PSC suggested a nice way to check for which letter is used in each language, here you can find the threas and the small "final" batch snippet by me:

Jaclaz - is there any advantage in passing the format command like that ?

imdisk -a -f test.img -s 33828352 -m J: -p "/FS:FAT /q /y"

whats wrong or slower or ? .. with

imdisk -a -f test.img -s 33828352 -m J:
format J: /fs:fat /q /y

That is correct (for any language, not just Italian), the /y switch was not supported in Windows 2000, it was introduced in Windows XP.

Thanks (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) , I thought as much, just wanted to point it out and show a workaround...or am I the only "dinosaur" using daily 2K instead of XP (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ?

@sanbarrow

Nothing is wrong, it is just one line instead of two (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) , but the /y switch won't work however.
Just imagine you write a complex batch file, possibly with output of the commands redirected to nul and some people report it is not working for them....(IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
