file -> rawcopy or dd -> encryption -> ImDisk Drive
please ignore or delete the following, it seems to not observe the board rules:

What I want is to have an encryptet image file on my disk that is mountable as drive. I want to store important data in this image. I only want to mount it when I need it. I am running Windows XP Pro.

I think the following must be possible:

rawcopy from http://www.ltr-data.se/opencode.html get the imagefile as input and a named pipe as output. for example: "rawcopy image.img \\.\PIPE\test"

Now i need an encryption/decryption tool that is able to handle pipes as output and input. It must be able to encrypt and decrypt on the fly, so that i can read and write on the "disk". And it must be fast enough. What about GnuPG?

The commandline ImDisk accepts named pipes as sorce for a drive. i couldn't find anything in the web how to do that.

And how to bring the tools together? When i type "rawcopy image.img \\.\PIPE\test" it says: "system can't find file" do i have to create the pipe before? I don't know very much about handeling pipes in windows and is it hard to find anything about that.

or is there any other more simple way?

[LiveXP] "USB Mass Storage Devices" Problem!
hi

the "USB Mass Storage Devices v10" script damages the MMC Disc Management and every Program that creates Partitions and want to sync them to the System.

In MMC Disc Management i can create the Partition, but cant format or access it.

It seems like Acronis Disk Director 10 is creating the Partition but it needs ~2 min to "Sync with the System". The Partition isn't accessible, too.

Paragon Hard Disk Manager makes Errors, too.

When i disable "USB Mass Storage Devices" script all Programs work perfect!
