QUOTE
Dia is roughly inspired by the commercial Windows program 'Visio', though more geared towards informal diagrams for casual use. It can be used to draw many different kinds of diagrams.

We feel Dia is in a state where it can be actively used. Many features are implemented and the code is quite solid and mature. Try downloading Dia and tell us what you think of it. If you find any bugs, please report them with Gnome Bugzilla. Check out the code too, you might even want to contribute...

Thanks for the suggestion. I've read it can be used to draw network maps so it will surely be handy to try out.

btw: In portuguese "Dia" means "Day"..

In italian is short for diapositiva (slide), and acronym for Direzione Investigativa Antimafia (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/scared9.gif) :

Bom dia would translate to buondė, a now rarely used form, as it's the commercial name for a snack.

for a bios/boot process flow-chart/diagram

all tho this http://www.nauta.be/bootloaders.pdf

the request was more bios related i think
