Yes you can, but sometimes other pc or laptop may not support (sometimes not correctly) booting usb-stick.

Check tutorial section topics, also check Boot from USB / Boot anywhere topics, and use search feature of boot-land like "usb boot problem". There are various methods for creating usb-stick, and as i wrote before your boot problem is about using different hardware. This is not directly a LiveXP problem and there are good members on these different topics who would glad to help you if you have enough time and motivation.

Good luck cheers.gif

It is recommended that users delete (or move or copy another place) entire apps folder as scripts have been relocated.

Currently upload is being made, so livexp server is offline, better to announce now to make users prepare for change smile.gif

@Peter

1)
issue x64 minor: 4 - BuildModel.Script - Help Button minor buggy
html files are registered to maxthon browser

For fixing this
QUOTE
[Show-Help]
If,NotExistDir,%ProjectTemp%,DirMake,%ProjectTemp%
ExtractAllFiles,"%ScriptFile%","Help","%ProjectTemp%"
ShellExecute,Open,"#$q%ProjectTemp%\%htm%#$q",""

should be this
QUOTE
[Show-Help]
If,NotExistDir,%ProjectTemp%,DirMake,%ProjectTemp%
ExtractAllFiles,"%ScriptFile%","Help","%ProjectTemp%"
System,FILEREDIRECT,OFF
ShellExecuteex,"Hide","cmd.exe","/C #$q%ProjectTemp%\%htm%#$q"
System,FILEREDIRECT,ON

2)
Also in html there is no info about ST (SendTo) in short symbol section:

QUOTE
short symbol:

DE > desktop
QL > quick launch
SM > start menu\programs
AU > start menu\programs\autostart
AD > start menu\programs\administrative tools
AC > start menu\programs\accessories
SY > start menu\programs\accessories\system tools
PG > programs (/MO only)

example:
ST > SendTo

something missing with msi.script (Projects\LiveXP\Basic\Shells\Addons), but WHAT????

Here is the test routine:
1) enable msi.script
2) enable fbwf or bootsdi
3) Download
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) from here and add it to livexp cd.
4) in LivexP double click vcredist_x86.exe

ps: (maybe relevant maybe not, in my tests ScriptingCore.script , ScriptingSup.Script, mmc and dipe selected too)

to overcome for specific example, i manually extract vcredist_x86.exe so VCREDI~3.EXE went out. double clicking VCREDI~3.EXE gives same error.
Than i manually extract VCREDI~3.EXE and vcredist.msi+vcredis1.cab came out. double clicking vcredist.msi worked.
ps: also same issue happens with "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)_SP1"

probably in most .exe cases that installs .msi this error occurs, any idea for solution???????

edit1: ps: "vcredist_x86.exe /q" works successfully.
edit2: ps: this issue dont happen with bootsdi, only happens when createiso+fbwf i used

Lancelot - check your profiles entries in registry.
I had the same issues until I fixed my profiles settings.
Make sure that "default user" and "all users" have the regular directories configured.
Also make sure those directories exist after boot.

Maybe not related ...
I use to junction "X:\i386\downloaded installations" to R:\temp and "X:\i386\installer to R:\temp"
Since I do that installing stuff on the fly works better than before.

oki, we didnt have "X:\i386\downloaded installations\" folder, so i added. no progress. (maybe better to create with livexp with a small dummy file inside)

which regular directories smile.gif, if you can provide the reg settings and folders needed, it will be a very quick for me (not being lazy but very tired).

ps: zenmap test with 2k3-r2 from X13-05665, still unsuccess.

Good night, cu tomorrow smile.gif.
