In my trial,
administrative-tools-shortcuts are created in both Default User and All Users, and
They are visible !?

sorry for late answer,
shortcuts are created in Default User by BuildModel.script and in case of MMC.script
copied to All Users. it is a very minor issue , but shortcuts should be created in
'Common Administrative Tools' (= %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\.....).

New issue - Explorer.script [Verify] section does not allow for Shell Security script. Exits build with an error.

There are 3 scripts under Explorer Tweaks. Only one script can be selected at a time to avoid conflicts.
Version 46 of Explorer.script has the following [Verify] code:

CODE
If !{%Misc Settings:Main.Selected%}
& !{%Winlogon / Shell:Main.Selected%}
& {%$$$:Interface.pCheckBox1%} Then
"When excluding MiscSettings.Script and FixShellWinlogon.Script, you must uncheck 'Don't set Explorer as shell' in Explorer.Script";

The code needs to be updated as follows:
CODE
If !{%Misc Settings:Main.Selected%}
& !{%Winlogon / Shell:Main.Selected%}
& !{%Shell Security:Main.Selected%}
& {%$$$:Interface.pCheckBox1%} Then
"When excluding MiscSettings.Script, FixShellWinlogon.Script and ShellSecurity.Script, you must uncheck 'Don't set Explorer as shell' in Explorer.Script";

I have attached an new version (47) of the script with the documented changes.

Decided to try LiveXP.

O&O defrag Professional 10 doesn't work.

Try to change this line

from this:
If,%pCheckBox3%,Equal,True,unpack,dfrgpro

to this:
unpack,dfrgpro

Edit:
Galapo uploaded a new version of the script and now the missing oodcnt.exe issue solved

O&O defrag Professional 10 doesn't work.

1. The shortcut points to oodcnt.exe, which doesn't exist in the SDI Image.
2. Once I manually put oodcnt.exe in place, EventLog service fails to start and indeed is non existent in the build.

Looks like an error was introduced into the script, which should be corrected in the upload I have just made. Download from the livexp server.

I just tested LiveXP "complete" with O&O Defrag 10 enabled. Started fine and eventlog is started successfully:

Hope it now works for you.

Regards,
Galapo.

Yes, that's right. This is the reason I added copying of shortcuts to that profile in the mmc script otherwise links in control panel were broken.

Here is somethings in mind for a while about junction business, becouse of vista smile.gif

As you know vista uses junction a lot, with new NTFS V6.0 features of vista (info here , from what i understand "Versions - NTFS has five released versions" ntfs v3.1 is what we use from xp to vista, only os features change)

Anyway, Imagine we use livexp to access vista installed disk.

1) A nice utility for livexp

My first search was looking for a utiltiy for livexp that puts an indicator to folder that uses junctions.
Here is one that is for hostosx86
http://www.paraesthesia.com/archive/2005/0...extensions.aspx
which works really nicely, i guess you will like it.
It put indicator to folder + from properties it shows the source of junction

But i couldnt make it work with livexp (i put files manually to folder with a seperate script)
with vista installed disk at least i can say indicator works, havent tried source finding as i dont use vistape.

2) Finding source

As we know, when we go to the source folder where junction made, we can access files with livexp. But one cant memorize all default source folders. So i tried out old friend cmd which gave interesting result.
Using dir /al
With vista (or vistape) i can find where source is
but with livexp cmd dont show where source is
livexp: http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/6238/dirallivexpkb9.png
vista (same with vistape): http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/9193/diralvistaks3.png

Is there any other suggestion to find source folder of a junction using livexp??

3) 2 Different junctions:
you may notice difference in the pictures are not only showing the source or not,
also cmd of vista (and vistape) indicates 2 different junctions but livexp (and xp) says all are JUNCTION

With vista cmd we have this
"C:\Documents and Settings\" ---> JUNCTION
"C:\Users\All Users\" ---> SYMLINKD
"C:\Users\Default User\" ---> JUNCTION
with xp cmd all called JUNCTION

Explorer with Vista (and VPE) dont show the inside of JUNCTION folders with giving a warning "... is not accesable, Access is denied"
BUT Explorer with Vista (and VPE) show content of SYMLINKD folders
Sadly LiveXP (and xp) dont show none of the content as LiveXP (and xp) call all as JUNCTION

Here is a picture that shows vista/vistape accesing SYMLINKD folder
http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/8866/xxx1vistavi0.png
Here is a picture that shows livexp/xp that cant access same folder
http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/8439/xxx2livexpaq2.png

Last words:
Well source of junction+SYMLINKD probably works with vistape because when booting with cd vistaOS has C:\ drive letter which is mostly the case.

Having a utility to show source (like with cmd of vista) would be enough i guess, so i can put it on right click (dir /al) to find the source when i need to find the folder.

I am not a vista users, these took my curiosity after reading things in boot-land. Please thing this as a search for utility implementation to ntfs 3.1.

I hope you have other ideas.

There's some good info here: http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellex...nkshellext.html

I haven't tried the app yet.

Very very very nice utility, it shows JUNCTION with chain icon and gives vista junction info correctly in vista disks.
(ps: with recent tests junction-shell-extensions utility couldnt show junction info of vista disc correctly, hardlinkshellext does really a good job about that)

and works with my hostosx64 biggrin.gif

Sadly it doesnt show SYMLINKD folders with chain icon dry.gif , or dont give info about SYMLINKD folders.

Problem is, i couldnt make it work with livexp, vcredist_x86.exe for Vs2005 Sp1 required, and "VisualC++2005 Runtime" script i have dont make sp1 work (copyin sp1 files is not enough).

i couldnt attach or ftp the HardLinkShellExt_win32.rar script i have, coming soon.

Is there any VisualC++2005 SP1 plugin/script?
