Just what i was looking for (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)
-
but associations dont work in livexp, check XnView.script 017
-
also a suggestion, maybe putting this line to main section will be good, maybe not (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Disable="%scriptdir%\XnView.script","%scriptdir%\SaveBase.Script","%scriptdir%\SaveBase.Link"

nice work (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)

Thanks buddy (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's strange the associations aren't working for you, working fine in my livexp (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/confused1.gif) - I can open files in the browser or by dbl-clicking any supported image file. Can you give more info/examples? I'm sorry, what am I supposed to check in XnView.script? XnView (full version) obviously supports more file types than the lite version.

Thanks for testing and kind words (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)

amalux

i deselect xnview.script (Selected=False)
and enabled xnview-min.script
no association worked that was made by xnview-min,
no icons on .bmp, .jpg files (non association windows default icon),
also doubleclicking on them results with "Windows cannot open this file:........ Select the program from a list"
but
right clicking on jpg,bmp (maybe others) results with a thumbnail menu with options from xnview at the top

xnview uses a diff. method with assocication than i used to, sorry i cant help further,
probably comparing .bmp association with between xnview.script and xnview-min.script will help. (they differ, i tried sth but not tried everthing)
i am still using acdsee32 (v2), acdsee v3 and acdsee v8, xnview is very new to me and i like xnview so far.

also

when i start xnview-mini from its shortcut, "Xnview configuration wizard" gui opens

ps: no tips at startup will be better i guess (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

ps: my trials are made with only livexp downloaded scripts, by disabling most of them.

xnview lite version is a very good idea to decrease space used, essential associations will be enough i guess for many users, i hope you can reproduce and fix the association problem i faced.

Hi Lancelot,

OK, I understand now; currently my builds are setup to include Windows Picture and Fax Viewer so I don't have your issues...

but I will try to see how Galapo did it and add an option for default XnView assn when needed (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yes, I don't like those pop-ups either and already got rid of them, along with making the window larger and some other details. I'll upload an updated version of the script with these improvements. Thanks again for your input (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

i use it from the day i donwloaded (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

so small contribution to xnview script (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

instead of
unpack,folder,Xmfiles.exe,"-y"

please use these 2 lines
ShellExecute,Hide,"%Tools%\7za.exe","x #$q%Target_Prog%\%ProgramFolder%\Xmfiles.exe#$q -y -o#$q%Target_Prog%\%ProgramFolder%#$q"
FileDelete,"%Target_Prog%\%ProgramFolder%\Xmfiles.exe"

which solves unreproducable error of unpacking executable (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

also it would be nice to make a small change in XNVIEW.INI after extraction

under [Start] section

ViewX=0
ViewY=0
ViewHeight=512

will make xnview look nicer (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi Lancelot,
What is the problem with unpack ?
Do I change in API :
ShellExecute,open,"#4#5#2","#3","#4#5"
by this :
ShellExecute,Hide,"%Tools%\7za.exe","x #$q#4#5#2#$q #3 -o#$q#4#5#$q"
But I'm not sure that will work with all EXE

Or perhaps depending of the parameter #3 (it seem it is allways the same : -y)
so if option = -y ==> run like now (no change)
but if option = "" (empty) ==> use this ShellExecute,Hide,"%Tools%\7za.exe","x #$q#4#5#2#$q -y -o#$q#4#5#$q"

Pedro
