i am not sure, but it is the 'Regular Suspect' smile.gif , i dont think it is SetResolution script's fault, because as i wrote before

whatever i tried i couldnt turn back 256 color.

Anyway, i put .inf and .sys files out in a folder under Program Files to add with Driver Import PE if i demand.
if further versions of Driver Import PE had an option to install unattendly, it will be faster, till that day it is good now for me.

UVD works better than VGA-driver please post here

yes it works better with my hardware, geforce 8500gt
but as i wrote works worse with dell inspiron 2500 (i guess)
i will try livexp without UVD with this laptop in future (not exists with me) to be sure.

Hi,

Using WinBuilder 076, complete download of LiveXP. I get the following error:

CODE
RegWrite - Failed to write REG key in root key: [HKLM] Type: [0x4] Section [WB-Setup\ControlSet001\Services\Vbemp\Device0] Key [Acceleration.Level=Standard..]

Log File attached.

Hi niche99

thanks a lot for the compact set of selected script wink.gif

Sady i couldnt reproduce isue you reported dry.gif

I make a fresh first build without error
http://lancelot.winbuilder.net/5F/log_20090619_213812.rar
during build i get license agreement gui and click accepted (left down, ps: if you cant see the button, make wb screen bigger)
http://lancelot.winbuilder.net/5F/log_2009..._213812_pic.png

After first success build, i made a 2nd build (after clicking "Clean Temporary Files" button)
http://lancelot.winbuilder.net/5F/log_20090619_214236.rar
Still no error on log.

To eliminate a very minor possibility of you using a wrong version of wb076 (there was a rev1 published for a shortwhile but not exist on servers anymore), can you please 1) Click update button on main screen 2) Click "Clean Temporary Files" Button on main screen 3) Click Big Blue.
Crossing fingers hoping it solves cool.gif

Unfortunatelly the log does not show the complete input line which caused the error.

Can you please go in WinBuilder > Tools > options and check 'Log Original Statement' in the upper right, build again, and post that log.

Sorry for your inconvenience.

BTW: Please do NOT download anything new.
The new download may heal the symptoms of the illness. But with your current configuration we are able to find the illness / bug.

I checked I have the correct version of WinBuilder.

I created new folder with WB in it. I redownloaded complete LiveXP. First build I got a vdk error. Second build worked and booted to VirtualBox. I added DirectX and DD10 and MBr tools and bang same error.

See attached log,

I think I solved the problem. Someone else has probably already noticed this.
Windows DEP is not tolerant of WinBuilder and vdk. Switch off DEP and LiveXP builds OK.
