I just discover this site that could interest some of you:
http://www.partition-saving.com/

Partition Saving is a free DOS and Windows program that is used to save, restore and copy hard disks, partitions, floppy disk and DOS or Windows devices.
There are standalone DOS and Win32 executables (portable applications, good for USB key), and also a bootable diskette image that could be useful
for multi-boot key (syslinux/grub4dos). It can handle/repair Vista boot configuration and fix boot sector/defective sectors.

It seems like a VERY good find, ktp (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

...spreading the news to the "other" related threads on 911CD and MSFN (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

I tried Clone Genius to make a disk image from internal disk to external USB HDD.
The speed is little slow for me (about 200 MB/s), I am used to about 1500 MB/s. Maybe hardware dependency?
Also on small letters at startup screen it indicates that this is a beta version.
By playing with the cfg (it uses syslinux) to suppress quiet mode, I saw that it is related to Spotmau
http://www.spotmau.com/products/package/fu...tm?SSAID=196475

A part from this, it can write to NTFS partition.

Of course that'S the oldest trick in the book. Make a beta freely downloadable and you get tons of beta testers for free.
Once all the bugs are fixed and it becomes a stable, the freebee time is over and the program is sold.

I would bet that if you read the licenze carefully, you find some point stating that, once a final version is released this beta can no longer legaly be used or distributed anymore.

Hmm.. Which format uses rootfs.mod inside the ISO? (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I'm guessing ext3 but still couldn't mount it under Linux Reader from DiskInternals.. (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
