Since this is my first post I would first like to thank all those who support this effort.

Since Exe Scanner seems to work under VISTA I am wondering if anyone has assembled an exclude.txt file for VISTAPE. If so could you please share your findings.

Any input, Pro or Con is welcome. Thanks.

Hi sLiM, welcome aboard!

I've used Exe Scanner only under liveXP, but I advice to test it under an extremely minimum vistaPE to get best results.

I also use Dependency Walker inside the PE boot disk to find out wich dll's are missing to add for some functions to work right with some apps.

Do let me know if there is any trickier to port - and I'll try to help getting it to work whenever possible.. (IMG:../forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

-------- Edit: -----------------------

Perhaps you can also create a new exclude.txt file by opening a cmd.exe window and navigate to the folder where vistaPE target system32 files are placed.

Then you type something like:
CODE
dir *.dll /b > exclude.txt

Edit this file from cmd.exe if you wish
CODE
notepad exclude.txt

And save anywhere you want - this was how the XP version was created.
