If anyone cares, the english source only problem seems to be a thing of the past.
The new version worked fine for me, with german source.

@thunn
You've overlooked that not everyone has an english keyboard layout! (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
You need to integrate a script into your project that eighter automaticly changes the keyboard layout or gives the user the chance to choose one.

BartPE Core is making troubles again. (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
In Script.Project one can read: %TargetDir%=%BaseDir%\BartPE
but right would be: %TargetDir%=%BaseDir%\Target\BartPE
Changing it has no effect, as it is imediately changed back. (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbdown.gif)

Anyone else encoutered that problem?

Maybe this sounds a little bit aggressive, but I want to tell my opinion:

@Thunn: I really honour the ingeneer's work you did in your project. It is great! (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

But in my opinion 'Use BartPE' in WinBuilder is like 'Mounting wooden wheels onto a Ferrari'

WinBuilder has so great opportunities, and the forum did a great work to build PEs independent from exising solutions.

Why to go back?

Peter

Can't tell you why thunn build it, but i can tell you why i'm trying to use it. (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I'm trying to figure out what BartPE Core does differently then WBXPE. As the first one works/worked for me, but the second don't.
And with WBXPE working, i might don't have to reinvent the Ferrari racing wheels. (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Took you long enough, I was expecting you to say that some time ago. (IMG:http://www.boot-land.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
But seriously, I see it as just another program to assist us.
Do you feel the same way about Holger's PENetwork? You're using that in your project. Though Holger uses autoit, they're both just programs performing a specific task or tasks for wb, think about it. Pebuilder is well coded and may even build the base a little faster that winbuilder. It consolidates all entries before it starts, and works in a totally different fashion from wb that continues to interest me as I to learn even more about the interior of the win32 environment.

This is by design, I tested a few different configurations.
The normal target in nativeex is one level deeper, yes, but it should not matter, I've done hundreds of tests, and it's worked fine. Perhaps a fresh build (?).

I built bartpecore because I wanted a pe platform with more functionality that supported a wider range of programs than the sub 100 MB. nativeex projects. Furthermore, Nuno and I had discussed doing a project that would get the attention of pebuilder users, so I made it.
This project is intended, in part, to ease the pebuilder community into the wb 'mix'.
...
Now, If for some reason the project doesn't work when you download it, there are a few possibilities, but you can check the server again later in case changes were in progress.

Currently it should run with 0 errors and boot to a stable environment using a xpsp2-en source, I can't make promises about any other languages or sources. I'll see what I can do about a keyboard script for other langs, though tonight I'll be working on the 'smaller' platform..
...
I did look at the wbXpe scripts, but they contained some extra system specific / application registry entries unrelated to the build. Last I checked the author had problems because he had not added files that pebuilder normally supplies, which I pointed out, so, that's great it works now. A little warning would have been nice and saved me a couple of hours trying to figure out whats wrong.

@all
If your project works different from the stabdard projects or needs to be set up differently, please make shure people know that!
Do not just preconfigure the project the right way.

I get this bootscreen at my first build booting into a normal bartPEcore.iso
(it is a clean project)

the 'run windows from RAM' method works fine

the same result with BcdwPE
at 'normal PE from CD' get this screen too
the 'in ram' method works ok

Any suggestion?

Not your fault!
thunn removed the tag file without replacing it by other means, now PE does not recognize your CD anymore.
