Just my two cents, i will not start a big discussion about it...:

For years it seemed clear to me that a comma inside quotes is OK and this was used several 100 times in my projects...

A lot of files would need changes and this would be a hard break in compatibillity.

I agree that sometimes it is neccesary to change things, but to me this seems like the first step towards text like below, because there are reasons to also not have spaces (to get rid of the quotes completely), and writing text like this is aboulutely a bad idea...

Echo,"I#$slike#$scommas#$sinside#$squotes#$c#$sand#$sspaces#$stoo#$s!"

Who can want this? Not me...

Yes, but it is always good to have a tool that can do it all...otherwise someone would have to ue the old tool for one job and the new for another jib...have one tool that can do it all is best...

Thanks!

One more wish...i would rename the cancel button to exit...it does not really cancel anything once you have set a different keyboard and the user expects an exit button, especially as he is still in the program after changing the keyboard...

Maybe you could also add a commandline mode..i could then make a gui for it with flags like Madevil asked for...

I need to create a unicode xml config file

FileCreateBlank,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"<?xml version=#$q1.0#$q encoding=#$qutf-16#$q standalone=#$qyes#$q?>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"<InfraRecorder>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"<Settings>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"<Language>",APPEND
If,not,%pLanguageBox%,equal,English,TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"<LanguageFile>%main_pLanguageBox%.irl</LanguageFile>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"</Language>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"</Settings>",APPEND
TXTAddLine,%ProgramTemplate%\Settings.xml,"</InfraRecorder>",APPEND

creates it in ascii mode...

is there the way to do this in unicode and if not, is there a way to easily (scripted) convert a ascii file to unicode?

Any hints welcome!

well, i have it on postconfig, prior to creating the wim, to make sure nothing writes the font again during build...but you can place it anywhere before the build is packed to wim as long as no script creates this font again..

Hi,

what i would really like to see is the following:

When i create an interface (lets call it [Dialog-1]), a call like

ShowInterface,Dialig-1

could show a windows to the user that shows the dialog and wait for the user to make adjustments and press OK or cancel.

That way i could easily ask the user with a nice dialoge where he want certain things stored or if he want the default settings...

To not interrupt the build a timout should be possible...

I know this is no small request, but it would open up a whole now world of userinteraction...

Please at least think about it.-))

Thanks!

QUOTE
## must be set as a standart comment out syntax along with //
Reason: numerous times, ctmag wrote it is mandatory for him to write easly with his keyboard etc.
Winbuilder must respect Keyboard (or Laptop) configurations, OR maybe development wants opposite. rolleyes.gif

well i asked for a standard comment symbol about two years ago...none was declared as the offical comment symbol so several uses chose their own...

i always use ## as this is very easy for me to type...i may have a thousend occourances by now in my project...i would not be happy to replace them all...

If others use // this is also fine to me, but some standard should be set...
