Does your PE-system uses a writable systemroot (SDI, RAMBOOT)?
For encryption like WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK you need it, otherwise only non-ecrypted or WEP-encrypted connections are possible!

P.S. don't wondering about my online time...at the moment I'm a little bit busy and was on vacation...and don't forget: there will be no developement anymore on the current version 0.56 cause the new 0.60 version is still in progress wink.gif

Did some tests with the source and changed shutdown command.
Works as expected.
So shutdown and reboot is now directly from classic startmenu available smile.gif
Will do some more test with possible ini and reg entries...

(I know I had to work on new "PENetMgr" wink.gif ...)

However, I just wanted to know if somebody has already developed a script for the ClassicShell-utility from:
http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/
I did take a look yesterday and seems to be possible to use also the internal restart and shutdown functions.
These functions only need to be rewritten - it's a open source program - developed in C++.
Also it's running under 64bit.
Some things can be defined in an 'ini' file, some in registry and some customation with skins.
I use this program some month now under Windows 7 so why not using it under Win7 PE...

Thanks again smile.gif
Today I got my birthday cake from my girlfriend - it was not so big like one Max' picture - however, it was really delicious biggrin.gif
Also I finally could solve a bug in PENM 0.60 which I did not found the last days/weeks - it was a memory problem, crazy basic stuff....so developement goes on...

I think I will update the WB-scripts during the next days to solve these and some other problems.
(The PENM-version will still be 0.56 (with 0.60 I need some more weeks, the PENM-util is 70% ready so far, however,
the editor I have to also re-include again and will also move the startnet- and infpatching-commands directly to inside....)

Hi Mellow,

2 things to check:
1.) take a look into your %temp%-folder on your running OS - there should be file "PENMDrvCpy.txt" - please post it here.
2.) use the "Debug"-option in the Winbuilder-script and try to copy then the "PENMDebug.txt" file in the %temp%-folder in your PE system to ie. an USB-stick - please post it here too.

As I replied in the other thread:
The file which is missing is "netnwifi.inf".
Just take a look into this file - the files you also need should be inside.
At the moment I have no W7-system here so I cannot check...

Oh, this is also a bug frusty.gif
The file which is missing is the "netnwifi.inf".

Maybe I should update it...I'm still working on it but at the moment only on the porting to C++...

Yeah, something is possible.
There is an option (which is only included in the LiveXP script for now).
Just add to your local PENetwork-script a line to the Process-Registry section:
CODE
RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,"WB-Software\PENetwork","ForceServices","1"

Hi,
at the moment I'm still rewriting PENM in C++ so it needs a little bit more time...
The last weeks I didn't had much time todo something.
From yesterday on I'm again working on it.
So at the moment I have no idea whats going on - I did a look into my script and normally it should work...hmmm...

As I always write: wink.gif
Please just use the 'debug' option in PENM-WB-script and copy the "PENMDebug.txt" file from your PE system (normally in the %temp%-folder, ie. X:\Windows\Temp) to a USB-stick and then post it here.
The ini entries are looking OK.

Sorry, maybe you misunderstand what I need:
QUOTE
Just use the "Debug"-option (in WB-script or under the 'Other'-page in PENM) and then look into your %temp% folder.
Or create an registry entry under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PENetwork" - string named "Debug" with value "1".
Then try to copy the "PENMDebug.txt" to an USB-stick and post it here please.

With the %temp% folder I mean the %temp% folder in your PE environment.

Surely, no problem.
It's just a simple script.
Will post it later here...
I also wrote the same in C++ (will also post it here for using/testing).

Thanks for info.
Could you please send me or post here the PENMDebug.txt file from your PE-temp-folder (I think X:\Windows\Temp)?
So I could see more in detail what happens.
Normally I first run "wpeinit" for starting network so I'm wondering why PENM want to install it again...
Thanks and greets

@yahoouk: there is already a 64bit version available:
http://holger.boot-land.net/scripts/PENetwork_x64.7z

Lancelot told me there seems to be a problem while network driver installing on an x64 version LiveXP or something similar.
So maybe there are the same problems maybe not...just try it.
At the 'moment' I do some tests with x64 XP and Win7 installation to see where is the/a problem.

what you could do to check is the following.
Use the Debug-option in the "Other" tab and then open the logfile and see what the last lines are.

@Robert: please take a look into your WinPE-temp folder (mostly: X:\Windows\Temp).
There should be a file "PENMDebug.txt" if you activated the debugging in the PENetwork-script.
Please copy this file ie. to a USB-stick and post it later here.
Please try to add "MSPaint" to your build and make a screenshot of the error message.
The most important is the log/debugfile.
Thanks and greets

@Lancelot: cause I'm doing some updates to PENM (WiFi in profiles, Windows-Firewall-Service-controlling) I will think about it...
Maybe it could look like in PENetwork_Run.ini:
CODE
[Startup]
1=%systemroot%\xyz.exe
2=xyz1.exe /cc

[Change]
1=sdsdd.cmd
2=edwed.exe

Or just use the existing profile options.
The advantage of the entries in the profile ini ("PENetwork.ini" itself) is the show (Normal/Hide/Minimized/Maximized) /wait (Wait/Nowait) mode.

@ludovici: just an idea: maybe a subentry under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SvcHost
for the "audiosrv" is missing...
