Hello everyone!

You might think I must be a bit stupid asking this. But this is a serious question. wink.gif

I want to purchase a Netac U230 with 1 GB. Also I am interested in Netac U320 with at least 1 GB.

These devices have some special features I couldn't find at other devices. The features are USB Floppy Emulation, USB Zip Emulation and USB CD-ROM Emulation. If you know other devices from another vendor with this features you may also tell me.

The problem is that I can really not find a seller for these devices. I searched long on Google and not even on ebay or amazon I could find some second hand.

Please tell me either a Netac reseller or similar devices from another vendor. I would be also interested in USB harddisks with this features.

Here:

Though not directly. sad.gif

You should write them and to Netac and ask about it. unsure.gif

other brands may work to emulate floppy images, but not document the feature. perhaps some testing...? smile.gif

likely someone here will speculate further on a brand to use shortly. wink.gif

Interesting question. I have 3 pen drives here and no reason to suspect that there is such a feature. Also no hardware switch. But may be possible that Netac devices just go rebranded... If no one from here can clear this question I have no idea how to find out.

Seams the U320 is not disposable there.

And kinda expensive.

Any cheaper resellers maybe?

So you also want it CHEAP? w00t.gif

OK, let's start again. smile.gif

WHY do you need these features?

If the problem is that you have some PC that do not boot correctly from "HD" like media, it is likely that the U320 won't solve you the problem, or it may solve it with such a number of limitations that the solution would result unpractical/unuseful.

There are other possible solutions that need not "special" hardware, for some problems.

Some news. See http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/flashd...-transcend.html at the 'Transcend JetFlashA' part.

I couldn't find anyone who verified that this USB-FDD booting works.

This device is also hard to buy.

Some resellers of the Netac U230 doesn't answer my E-Mails, perhaps them dislike germans or do not want to ship to germany.

First time something additions for computer is hard to get at online shops.

Some things are for me a bit more comfortable with this feature.

Unfortunately that model jetflash A appears to have been produced in 64, 128 and 256 Mb only, I think it will be difficult to find one.

The utility for formatting it is available, however:
