OS-BS was an old boot manager (1992) that had gone Commercial.

I have still to fully test it, but I remember the old one as a magnificent piece of code....

mbldr on Sourceforge:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=162108

Some snippets from the "changes" file:
QUOTE
- Project has been renamed to "mbldr" due to legal issues discussed with Thomas Wolfram (mbldr is Master Boot LoaDeR)

Boot loader:
- Boot support for primary partitions above 1024 cylinder boundary
- Primary partitions hiding (FAT/FAT32/NTFS) like it is done in PQ PartitionMagic/OS-2 Boot Manager
- It is now possible to load operating systems from logical disks of an extended partition

The text below is a copy of HISTORY file which was a part of OS-BS 1.35 by
Thomas Wolfram. It is kept here just for the sake of commonality.

Version 1.35, December 1992
fixes a minor bug
.....

....and it fits in the MBR (512 bytes) yahoo.gif

The MBR installer needs cwsdpmi:

CWSDPMI.EXE is needed

The program won't run in Qemu, but it does in VMware.

If only I could understand what you are asking...unsure.gif

Can you post an example of what you are trying to achieve, possibly after having re-read "common sense advice" in Rules:
http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?act=boardrules
with particular attention to points #d., #f1., #f2. wink.gif

BTW:

mbldr 1.45 has been released. Boot-timer fix, French translation, partitions hiding/not hiding, few other improvements.
