Despite checking the scripts settings for every application provided in the Win7RescuePE application desktop icons and start menu entries are not there, meaning that I have no access to any application other than Avira. That's strange because I made sure that those settings were enabled for most applications and that the scripts was indeed selected and run as a part of the build process.

Any ideas?

Short cuts have been and issue for some people. I do not understand why

I'm using the default (Explorer) shell and booting this off of USB.

I am not familiar with VMware but I did mount the ISO into VirtualBox and it seemed to have no issues at al. Everything appeared normal.

I open it in UltraISO then mount it as a virtual drive and drag everything over to the root.

Ok i am not saying that should not work

But try this

In winbuilder window select Copy to USB script in tree ,,, in script window select your USB device ,, then click little green arrow in script window ... make sure you format the right drive..Grub for dos will open first dropdown box select USB device again.. next refresh part list i select Whole disk here click install Enter to continue ,,, then quite ,,, files will be copied to USB,,,

I do it this way and have no problems

if this is not clear just ask,,,

PS: UltraISO copies the ISO to USB and i think thats wrong,, Copy to USB script pulls files from target folder to USB

Thank you for that. I'm in the process of running the script now, I just wish I knew it was going to erase everything. Oh well, I created a DriveSnapshot image today.
