Hi flansch,

you create topics at wrong place to ask questions about LiveXP ( Boot Land > Groups > Windows Support > Windows PE )
I moved this topic here ( Boot Land > Groups > WinBuilder > LiveXP )

Theoretically YES (But there are already several issues where it is not possible to give the right settings)
How it can be done:
Click "Download" button in WB's upper right
Click "Proxy" tab in upper middle and define your personal settings.

Maybe helpful: If you have troubles with your WB proxy settings, it may be a hard way to test ...
For that a program 'WBProxy.exe' exist, which is compiled form WinBuilder original modules and uses WinBuilder.ini, too.
Trying to define the proxy settings with this program, needs much less time.
Download it into your %BaseDir% and start.
When it runs well, the settings are valid and used by WinBuilder.exe, too.

If there are any difficulties left which cannot be solved with WBProxy.exe, let me know.

Peter

- Build a PE, Boot it, start IE.
- Use regshot to make a snapshot of the registry.
- Change proxy settings
- make second snapshot with regshot
- compare both
- Use the log eigther to create a script which writes your proxy settings directly or make a universal script for setting IE Proxy.

Hi flansch,

I guess we need a nice Proxy switcher for PE environment. Having script probably not work properly (here) and even if it works I do not feel it is a good choice for PE.

Well I do not know anything about Proxy, found some utilities around but did not like them much. Maybe others who are experienced with proxy on PE may suggest something.

Hi Lancelot,

unfortunately the script seems not to work correctly. If I do my changes within the script (adding ip-address and proxy port) the settings aren't build into the IE settings. The box for auto proxy detect is still checked.

Kind regards
flansch
