I used the wallpaper script to use a custom wallpaper but it is only displayed for a second before going back to a blank desktop.
While searching the forum I found that a solution was close a few months ago but did not find a resolution and this problem persists with the newest version of winbuilder and a freshly downloaded win7rescuepe project.

think it depends on the shell you use ... with bs explorer it works, with explorer it does not work
there also exists a script from Paraglider (perso.script), perhaps this could help

to what "win7PE" build exactly do you refer to?

winbuilder-078-SP4, 5 and 6 do not have exactly a 'win7pe' build, they have a Multi-7pe build and this doesn't have a tweak for wallpaper.

can you clarify where is this wallpaper.script exactly?

regards.

win7pe is the name of the project at the download server smile.gif
Multi 7PEs has a script named DesktopBackground.script in the App-section ... think the earlier name was personalized.script

Thanks for your explanation, now the desktop look really personalized.

I just have an aditional question, the background that appears it's a water cascade, where in the 'desktopbackground.script' do I change the image, as this script does not have any boxes to select it from like the 'wallpaper.script' does.

regards.

You will have to replace the attached setup.7z file with your own zipped setup.bmp.

thank you.

I also found out that once win7pe is running you can change the background by opening a .jpg, .bmp or other graphic with "Irfran View" and then from the 'options' menu set as wallpaper, thou this is temporarily.
